PhotoGov
Cookie Policy
A short, plain-language list of the cookies and browser storage we use, what each is for, and how to remove them.
What we use
PhotoGovuses the minimum cookies and local storage needed to run the photo pipeline and remember your in-flight session. We don't set advertising cookies, we don't track you across other websites, and we don't sell any cookie data.
Strictly necessary
- Session storage: the processing UUID for your current photo session lives in the URL hash and in browser memory only. Refresh-safe but cleared when you close the tab.
- Locale preference: a small cookie remembers your selected language across visits.
- Authentication cookies: if you sign in to retrieve a past order, a short-lived secure HttpOnly cookie holds your verification session.
Analytics
Analytics (PostHog) is only loaded when explicitly configured by the operator and consented to where required by law. When loaded, it records aggregate events about feature use — not your photo data. You can opt out via your browser's Do Not Track / Global Privacy Control signal.
Payment
During checkout, Paddle sets its own cookies inside its embedded checkout iframe. Those cookies are governed by Paddle's policy and we don't read or write them.
Clearing storage
You can clear all storage we use through your browser's site-data tools. Doing so will remove any in-flight session and locale preference. No data we use is required for browser security or platform integrity.
