PhotoGov
Independence disclaimer
A plain statement of what we are and what we are not, written to be linkable and unambiguous.
We are independent
PhotoGovis an independent commercial service. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or operating on behalf of any government agency or issuing authority, including but not limited to USCIS, the U.S. Department of State, any U.S. consulate or embassy, the UK Passport Office, the Schengen visa system, or any other country's passport, visa, or identification agency.
What we do
We provide a browser-side photo validation, cropping, and compliance-check tool. The tool measures your uploaded photo against the published specifications of the document you select and produces output sized to that specification. Compliance summaries are based on public official requirements.
What we don't do
- We do not file any government form on your behalf.
- We do not submit any application or pay any fee to any agency for you.
- We do not act as a legal advisor, immigration consultant, or visa expediter.
- We do not communicate with government agencies about your case.
Acceptance is the agency's decision
Even when our compliance check returns a green verdict, the final decision on whether a photo is accepted rests with the agency, embassy, or consulate reviewing your application. We cannot and do not guarantee acceptance.
Refund posture
If a photo is rejected for a technical compliance issue attributable to our pipeline (wrong size, wrong DPI, our cropping placed the head outside the spec range), we offer a money-back refund per our published refund policy. Rejections for reasons outside our pipeline (e.g. consular discretion, recency-of-photo objections, expression interpretation) are not refundable on that basis.
